This region is a tough place to truly use a really nice car unless you are super wealthy.

How many nice days do we get per year? I wouldnt take that car out in the rain, the winter, in downtown New Haven traffic, etc. Yeah, you want to be able to appreciate the car for what it is, but at the same time you dont want the thing you've saved up your whole life for to get fucked up.

Yeah, but does only going to race events conform to the idea that if you own this car, you need to truly use it.

Racing the car is abuse much worse that a car would see during everyday use, ergo I would think it qualifies. If we're talking cosmetics, yes, daily use would be worse. But wear on driveline and suspension components is far far worse on a track. Either way, I want to see these actually get used, I don't care if it's at the track, or as one of the meanest dailies ever.
