At first I thought this was like Nu-Metal and I looked up Nonpoint.
Then I decided to listen to the example before I looked like an asshole.
Since your example as about as Alternative rock as Len- Steal My Sunshine

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIANBamMgas[/ame]

And some stuff I would actually call Alternative Rock:

Really, I think we should be posting top40 music of the late 90's, since it's generally grouped as the same thing.
    Chumbawumba, anyone?

The trick here is every band from the 90's had a number in their name and water in their video.

This list should have really ranged from like 1993-2001. Because the early 90's was definitely not the same top40/altrock/radioplay as the late 90's that I would have to assume (by his example) Will was asking for.

no because the late 90's produced pop punk. the early 90's alternative is some of the best music ever
