air is a dye grinder. thin blade. good for smaller cuts, like getting in between your shackle and leaf bushing to cut out your leaf bolt thats frozen in place ugh..

edit. never mind, just saw that they make and air angle grinder, never knew about such a fancy thing

They're good with a new blade. But often times even with a good blade, it only last a minute before it get so hot the blade warps. Then its utterly useless. When I've used them on wood they work great.

I love it when the blade stops moving and the sawzall shakes the bloody fuckin hell out of your entire body.

4.5" electric angle grinder wins after the 14" chop saw of course.

i use a sawzall about 30-40% of the time and my angle grinder about 60-70% of the time.

a good blade on a sawzall makes all the difference. I like bosch demolition blades.When i cut thick metal I try to use the sawzall. because that shit will burn up cutoff wheels fast.

But I also have a 4" angle grinder, so my wheels don't last quite as long.

Ther sawzall is also better suited for cutting leaf spring/control arm bolts that are siezed in the bushing.


and will, if you are referring to the sawzall i gave you, that one sucks, the blade fastener is stripped out. we followed it for like 5 miles dangling from a trailer until it finally fell off.

Most all cutting i do with my angle grinder, but i used a torch/cutoff wheel on one side of my old control arm mounts and it took a little while. Busted out the sawzall and it was done in 10 seconds.

When you don't give a fuck how something looks, just need to get rid of it and do the clean up later, nothing beats a sawzall.
