I used an airgrinder with a brillow pad to clean most spots, then cheap walmart primer, covered with the hammered finish, Waiting a few days for it to dry out then a whacked it with a hammer in a few spots, no chips or flakes, very impressed with the stuff, other than my quart was labeled the wrong color

That wasn't nearly as bad as mine. I still have the floor template if you want. To coat it fuck primer and paint. Hercline it let it dry and throw the rug in. Then get upset the jeep and start throwing undercoat like a boss

I'm just going to finish cleaning it out, patch it and then multiple coats of paint and primer and then try my hardest to stay the fuck away from water and mud.

If I was going to turn this thing into a 100% trail rig, yeah I'd pull the carpets out and completely chop the piece of shit up and hurculine or something similar to the floors, but for now, I'm not going crazy.

Cans of spray paint/primer = $10.00

$40 really that big of a deal considering its done?

Why do a carpet? Why not? I still need to drive this thing, sorry that I want to combat the road noise a little bit.

The carpet was destroyed, I wanted a new one, that's why this carpet got torn the fuck out. What advantage will herculiner give me with a carpet over it? Rust preventative? The hole over the muffler and exhaust is from the underside of the vehicle rusting up, isn't it? From heat and water and regular condensation? What good will herculine do if I don't do the bottom as well?

I may do the trunk that way because I'm not replacing the carpet there, but why do it under the carpet? Almost 25 years of wear and tear got me those few holes and rust patches, this vehicle isn't worth that much effort.

Why new carpet? You want me to put the old one back in?? Guy, did you not see how much water I've had inside this jeep in the last few years? I had more mold in the seats and carpet than in most ecosystems. I'm amazed I didn't have fucking plants growing with the amount of dirt and water I had in there. Getting to the old carpet and to the screws that held the plastic liner was not unlike an archaeological dig.

If you want to herculine it, come do it for me.
