It's also more than just the state. Even if you obtained 4000 acres to wheel, now you have to battle your neighbors who will complain about even the slightest noise on a Sunday afternoon. Milford Riders is always at ends with the people who live around the area, but luckily the city of Milford sticks up for the autocross track and tells the residents there that they either get used to it or move out.
Get enough people complaining and the state has to gets involved via police. That's why ATVs and Dirtbikes get the most bad rap because they are fucking loud and obnoxious, let's face it.
Buy all the land you want and then be ready to buy your neighbors, too.
Or juat say fuck off to your neighbors

Will. why come down on dirt bikes and atvs?, i live in an area with many trails, all private owned, but everyone allowed us to ride, ive been riding trails since i was 12 and it was a great way to keep out of trouble. but now all the trails are closed, i have a street legal enduro and just run trails once and a while.
ive been yelled at before and told that my dirt bike tears up all the atv and snowmobile trails and its my fault that people dont want us out on the trails. but i guess ive never understood peoples dislike toward trail riders.
im not coming down on dirt bikes and ATVs...the stereotype is.
though i think its hard to argue against the fact that theyre more attainable/easy to ride where you shouldnt versus a jeep or similar...which is why they are singled out more often than OHV vehicles
Back in the early 90's I had some of the best riding(dirtbikes, quads, 3wheelers) and he cops in my town use to tell use to stay in the powerlines and off the roads. No DEP would have a field day with your ass.
