Just my $.02....scooters are cool as shit, i LOVE my GSX-R but if i couldn't have that for some reason or another i would DEFINITELY get a scooter....for the simple fact that they get almost 100mpg and most modern ones can do around 70mph....i would be getting the Yamaha Zuma 125 4 stroke. and if i really had money to piss away on a scooter i would get a Suzuki Burgman 700 ride on man, ride on!

2 of my buddies had yamaha zumas. One kid did a big bore kit in his but blew it up the first night he had it out. Thats what you get for doin a BB kit with no carb or exhaust haha

yeah i would just leave mine in stock form, they do almost 70 as is...do you really need a scooter that does 100+ lol....with brakes that are the size of a tea plate, and 6" wheels.....that certainly aren't W rated lol

Not even being a dick here Ryan but whatever is left in me that still thinks your coll will no longer be there. You're going to get one and wish you just got a small motorcycle. I used to ride my ninja to and from Boston with all my books, laptop, extra clothes, and tools every weekend without carrying a backpack or having anything get wet when it would rain.

If I were you I would get an older Ninja 500, GS 500, Katana, Rebel, Magna (which every you prefer...sporty or more of a cruizer). The older bikes are slower, less responsive, and have a steel frame so if it gets dropped, they can take a licking.

I'll teach you good riding techniques. We'll go and practice, I have no problem with that. Plus, if you get a scooter over 49CC you need a motorcycle license anyway so why not just go for the real deal? Either way, you need to get a helmet and jacket at the very least so consider that a negligible expense.

If I could take a 'crotch rocket' and ride with all my stuff to boston and back, it will work for you with New Haven. Plus, we have something else we can do together and Will can't call you gay.

BTW I gotta get you out on the boat this year.

this, I have a 87 rebel 450, I love it, 45-50mpg and isnt a scooter.

Going to go ahead and agree with Caleb on this one. If you want two wheels, do it right: get the motorcycle license and get a nice bike. Caleb's Honda looks like a pretty slick machine, much cooler than a scooter.
