Yup, sunk my jeep...again.
Too bad it didn't make it home in one piece.
TRE on the passenger side sheered in half and I lost my steering doing about 65-70 on 287 East. Nerve wrecking to say the least.

Phil so what exactly happens when you lose a TRE at 65 mph, cause everytime I drive on the highway that's what i'm waiting to happen. All I can picture is both wheelsgo perpendicular to the jeep and I swerve offroad hitting a bunch of innocent children playing in a random playground.Comment

Well, you pretty lose all control of your vehicle. Your tires don't just fly away from each other, so I pretty much just hit the brakes and coasted to the side of the highway trying to avoid everyone else. I heard a loud clank when the drag link hit the ground and a horrible scraping noise and that's when I started to cut the wheel and the jeep didn't move. Getting the jeep onto the flatbed was a fucking pain in the ass because we had to stop the winch every 6 inches and turn the wheels back straight.Originally posted by 04WranglerX View Postsigpic
