Front License Plate

ok people, does anyone run plateless in the front? and if you do, do you get trouble from the cherry tops? i'm thinking about just taking mine off and putting it on my dash cause it looks so much cleaner without it

ive run plateless in front since ive had a license on my jeep and also on my impreza

never been bothered in any state in the area since i was 17.

phil got a mention from a local cop once, but nothing beyond that

very true, i see people running plateless erryday, but i don't wanna give them any more reason to pull me over lol

I don't have one on my Jeep or have one in the Power Wagon. I get stopped at police checkpoints (17 times two years ago) and only got verbal warnings. Usually, my response to the cop was "I don't own a drill and the bumper I bought doesn't have the mounting holes for one".

My neighbor who is a cop said no one really pulls you over for it but if they want to pull you over and are looking for a reason to, the no front license plate works for them.

yeah that's basically my reasoning. cause then they could give me an exhaust ticket or something too

maybe i'll take the plate off for a week or so, and see what happens. oh i forgot to mention that i go to school in nassau county on the north shore, so basically every town i drive through on my way there is really wealthy and has their own private police departments just waiting to pull someone over. so that was the main reason why i haven't done it yet

Use to have a plate on my front bumper, smashed it so much it eventually broke into 3 peices. Got a ticket for no plate in december but I was speeding and the cop decided to give me a ticket for that to give me a break

I have mine mounted on the unibody behind the bumper(you can see the bottom part of the plate, other than that I have no mounting holes in my front bumper so theres nowhere to to put it. Thats said I've never had an issue in the 6 years I've own the thing.

Never put the front plate on any of the vehicles I owned. Which is about 20. And I only got a verbal warning at a dui check on west haven once
