It's a direct take off of the 69 I'm guessing you never sat in or rode in a 69.

Nope, never sat in or rode in a 69. Doesnt matter, for over 33 thousand bucks you should get a better car. I drove a 2011 SS for a month, wasnt a fan really. I used to own a 97 camaro. I liked that one more comfort wise.
I know this will probably catch a lot of shit, but i dont care. Just something I like.
Richard Petty ( the nascar driver ) is building a remake of the Plymouth Superbirds/ Dodge Daytonas using a challenger as a base. I think its pretty neat. Yeah the wing is pretty huge but its a throw back to the 70s and i think its pretty unique.
Old:
Base price NOT including the car is somewhere around 35 grand.

I'll x3 that. That looks fucking sick 'cept the lower grill...looks like it's smiling. The color is....meh. Gimme that in Mopar Blue with a big ol' RoadRunner on the side of that wing. Meep Meep!
That's what a classic remake SHOULD look like.Last edited by Buffalo Phil; 01-19-2012, 10:40 PM.sigpic

Mustang is to futuristic. Both the mopar might be fast and look cool but give it 25k it will start falling apart. Control ARM bushings tie rods trailing ARM bushings control arms the susprnsion in a srt8 is the same as the base model. Maybe different shocks and springs but the rest is scrap medal.Dizz dizz go sleep sleep

I love watching these threads after driving these cars, in regular street driving a 2011 challenger R/T steered the same as the bmw m3 i drove.
Unless you are cornering at 80 mph, its all irralevant.
That and the challenger has enough power, where if you need to get the rear end around faster, you just use the throttle
I would go with the stang based on the fact that it has the best all around package as far as looks, driving dynamics and price go. I would spring for a used SRT8 if you went with either of the dodges.Bent Fab Evo4 Rockwell Buggy

Heres one that I picked up Tuesday. I know its not on the list but what the hell. Unfortunately Its not mine, it was purchased wholesale in Long Island and being sent to a Dealer in Canada. What was the wholesale price??? $45k out the door. That pissed me off, cause thats CHEAP for a brand new GT500.
Anyways, I drove it a little and fell in love.I didn't want to give it away at the end of the day. Im serious when I say that if I didnt just drop 60k on my house down payment, Id be seeing my local ford dealer. Id be lying if I say I didnt beat it up a little
My vote is mustang. The new 5.0 is worth holding out for. I know someone who traded his Challenger for one!-1988 Comanche 31's, rot box
-1990 Comanche 35's, 44 locked, beater
-1977 F-250 Highboy 35's, gas pig
-2012 6.7 Powerstroke 37's, tow rig
The junkpile keeps growing!
