  • How much do you think I can get for my jeep?

Now, before anyone says anything, this isn't me selling my jeep, it's me figuring numbers.
I've been looking at trucks for years, and I really need one. Being a homeowner you always need a truck, and I also want to start a little lawn business on the side so a truck would pull a trailer better than my heep. Also, been getting tired of DDing a jeep on a short arm lift with 35's.

I've been looking at trucks for like 10-15k, but i figure if I sold my jeep i can up my search.
My dream? buy a turbo diesel truck, keep the jeep, and slowly build it up to be my dream jeep. Is that in my budget? No, but i can dream.

Oh and if punctuation or grammar isn't right, i'm typing with one hand cause i just had surgery on my stub again.

    My jeep.

2004 wrangler, 98k miles, cruise control, 5 speed.

    Rubicon express 4.5 SF lift
    35x12.5 yokohama geolanders
    8x10 steelies
Dana 44 rear with 4.88's, arb locked, chromoly shafts
Dana 30 front with 4.88's, open
    Solid covers on both
    Banditt 1 ton steering

    K&N FIPK intake
    Flowmaster 40 series muffler
    Banks power exhaust catback(not installed)

    AtoZ front bumper
AtoZ rear bumper and tire carrier
    LOD rocker gaurds

    Litedot tail lights
    HID projector headlights
    Hella windshield mounted fogs
    Alpine 4 ch amp
    Alpine 2 ch amp
Two mtx 10" subs in molded box
    Eclipse components in the front
JL audio coaxels in the sound bar

    Cyclone hood louver
    Bushwhacker fender flares
    20% tints

So i think that about covers it. KBB puts it at 10,500 in fair. I know once stuffs done to a vehicle price usually goes down, so what do you think someone would pay for my heep?

I think you would have no problem getting 10k for it. When I bought my wrangler last year the stealership still wanted 16k for and 04 with 75k on it

Yeah but that is also a stock jeep right? I'd have a lot more variety of people to sell my jeep to if it were stock or close to it.
That was also something I was thinking about, was trading my axles and lift to someone with a stock TJ for their stuff + money, then maybe put a BB lift and 31's on my jeep. Most people I think would want to buy a smaller jeep.

I would buy a cheap/decent 1500 chevy, ford, dodge and and use that to hall your trailer around, If your lawncare stuff takes off, buy a better truck. It wouldn't be worth selling your jeep right now because the of the way the markets been. Just keep it and you'll be happy in the long run..

This is just me but offroad mods will never jack up the price for a vehicle. If your Jeep is worth $10,500 from KBB expect to get around that even if you have a few grand in mods. Mods like that will scare away most buyers. With that said, I agree with clean4drxj. You can pick up a 90's Chevy or GMC easily under $2000 that will tow a trailer and do everything you need it to do.

Ya i figured the value would drop with after market shit done to it.
Not gonna buy a shitbox though, cause i still don't want to DD my jeep anymore.

                  Ya, that's what i think i might do. at first i didn't want a 1500, i wanted a 2500, but they're like 10-15 with 100k mile on em, maybe i'll find a decent 1500 for 10 grand and keep both.

I wish the harley was paid off cause that'd be another 300/mnth, i'd be buying a new truck right now. lol

Have you considered bringing it to carmax to have them make you an offer on it? Even if they lowball the shit outta you they will go through that thing with a fine tooth comb and you don't owe them a dime at the end of the day. Then if you sell it privately you can include the carmax inspection granted they don't find a bunch of shit wrong with it.

when i bought my tj and i was looking i would have been STOKED to pay 10 500 for that thing. i think you should at least be able to get kbb for it. Drive it till it hits 70 degrees out, clean it up nice, and fix any imperfections and you will get that all day if not more!!!
