Soliders remains dumped in landfill

A friend sent me this link, apparently Dover air force base dumped some remains of some soldiers who had been cremated in a landfill along with other mistreatments of the fallen. Unbelievable, Imagine if you were related to one of those 274 soldiers

I would think that even if there is "partial remains", They could come up with something better then dumping it in a landfill, cremation of the remains and sent with the body would be more acceptable IMHO

i'm willing to make the assumption..... that there was no body to send the ashes with.

I can't imagine the horrors of war, but it does give me solace to know that instead of leaving "pieces" of our soldiers out there, they bring back what is left. Bombs can do some pretty grotesque amounts of damage.

You're right though, there should be a more honorable way of handling those cremated remains.

they burn them, and get ashes from burning them.


Then those ashes went into a landfill, disposed with other "medical waste".


They are not throwing body parts in landfills.
