first off hell ya chevy has been around for 100 years. yes ford was first but chevy perfected it. There is a show on right now on the velocity channel 1246 if you havecomcast. a guy is on this show 1,219,000 miles on a chevy silverado 1500 5.7 litre, says he never had it leave him high and dry. just talking about how chevrolet has become an american icon over ford.
