A protestor holding a sign was dangling from a rope off the Tappan Zee Bridge Monday afternoon.

The handmade blue banner with yellow lettering reads in part "Rockland Executive Legislature Cover Up Retaliation."

The rest is unreadable.

The kook is tied to a van stopped on the bridge, local media reported.

He is dangling over the Hudson River about 75 feet below the bridge and has been there since 10:45 a.m.

At least one lane was closed to traffic as emergency responders massed at the scene
