Racing TREC with LII

Well Tim and I took the chance to race out at the Badlands this weekend. Check out a little of the in car footage. We had a little run-in with Rusty Bray twice, once at 1:10 and another time at 4:00. The second hit took a tire out and we had a long repair stop. After that we were racing in the dark so the video is black.

Visibility was the worst. When I or Will loads the front view you will see that you can't see past the hood. That race was down right dangerous.

I'm quite serious when I say I will never race there again. 110% not worth it. I'm still laying in bed with serious back and head pain (probably a concussion, who knows) from Rusty slamming into us. Entirely unintentional and I don't blame him one bit, just part of racing in a dust storm at night.

We literally cut the ground to the 42" LED bar so we could have less light hitting the dust. At some points we killed lights totally since it was the only way to see.

No thanks.

The last 3-4 laps were fun as hell though. Avg 40ishmph through the tight woods sections full of whoops.

That's the problem. He didn't even see us. I didn't see his headlights in that mirror until he was on his side next to me. Great conditions to race in.

Told you! Unnecessarily ridiculous. Imagine little side by sides running around the same course. Scary as hell, i'm not racing to kill people...

Yes, SXS at the same time. That's why Erik called it, he almost killed a guy or two. I don't blame him.

Luckily for us Rusty smacked us so hard he took out a tire. At first I was pretty pissed at him, but after the race I realized that 30 minute tire change was the difference between having visibility and not. Not like he could see us anyway. Later on in the race it got much better, especially when I cut the ground on the 42" LED bar.

thats just fucking insane. who the hell thinks its a good idea to race SXS on the same course at the same time as Ultra4 cars? ESPECIALLY in poor conditions. or at night. or both.
