so i may have found my bimmer. its a 328 is, m3 diff m3 intake m3 suspension, new clutch, intake exhaust chipped ecu. its a buddy of mines car 2500 bucks.

its the white one. the silver one is his m3

i plan on doing full m3 body painting it gunmetal grey the rims in that picture are powdercoated black now so with the gun metal will look very nice plus. i have driven this car a bunch of times. i know its not a toilet.

Now i am a HUGE bmw fan and german cars in general but they do cost a lot to repair and for parts. I drove a 528 just out of high school and while i loved the car, i hated how much it cost in repairs. I did thermostat, new rotors and calipers on all 4 wheels, master cylinder, flywheel, started and more i can't remember in less than 2 years on a "mint" car costing me over $2,000 in 1 1/2 years.

Also, just because he is a friend, don't always trust how good of shape a car is in. My buddy made this mistake buying his "friend's" mk3 golf with a custom turbo, coilovers, etc. saying that he had watched the car get built since the kid bought it stock so he knew how good of shape it was in. Now he watches it sit in his front yard and has had it parked for more than 100X the amount it has been driveable.

Definately look into the common problems on e36s and see how he has repaired them. I saw someone listed a few of them in here already

This is only the beginning. Before you know it, you'll have a body kit, an obnoxious wing, a paint job that will make it look like the NASA shuttle and the motor will be pulled and on a stand for 6 months at a time while you do work to it.
