jury duty

This is me bored out of my skull sitting in a courtroom for jury selection. Once we get back from lunch they said they will start questioning us 25 at a time and start selecting jurors. I've been sitting here bored for hours haha. Has anyone else had it take this long?

I was there once from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon when they finally told me they didn't need me anymore and both parties settled.

Good thing I brought a book, read it cover to cover that day.

I got out of a 2 week jury duty once by straight up telling them the truth; I had just started a new job and there was no way I was going to tell my boss a week into my first month there that I had to be gone for 2 weeks. The judge let me go.

my mom is the lucky one she works for the court system and she goes and shows goverment id and turns around and walks out. plus its next to her office lol.
