  • For the Photographers...

So I just bought a canon rebel XS, pretty stoked to start learning. My question is, how will the canon hold up in the cold? I will be in Patagonia for a semester and then taking alot of shots this winter at Jay.

I really don't think you're going to have a problem. Just be careful with the camera itself and always carry a spare battery with you and you'll be fine.

The extra battery thing is key... Keep at minimum 1... Preferably 2 or so... Keep them inside your clothing to keep them warm and swap them out as they start to die out... Having just one battery out in the cold is a mistake you make only once.

Always have 2 minimum. Two is one, one is none.
