  • daily driver suggestions

So Im kind of curious as to what you guys use as daily drivers, if you have one of course in addition to your jeep...Im looking into getting something myself, like a VW GTI 1.8T or VR6 or somethin sporty and small like that.

As for insurance costs..what is the best way to keep both a jeep insured and a daily driver at the same time? Because obviosly if you get a daily driver, then youd drive the jeep a lot less. One of my friends says he pays only 300 dollars extra per month for a second car that he doesn't drive a lot...Any suggestions?

i have a 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS as my DD

my XJ is insured as a "recreation/leisure vehicle" and i pay something retarded like 10 dollars a month for it.

Impreza is sporty/fun enough to keep me happy, and the AWD helps practicality in all weather

i drive a 1998 toyota camry. it gets 30 mpg and i commute roughly 70 miles round trip per day.

not gonna lie, its awesome, reliable, and cheap as fawk

i have always had 2 cars on my insurance and have never payed that much.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

I have had other XJ DDs in the past and it never turns out well. Im on the hiunt for a new DD, and I too am looking at GTI's mostly mk4s. Im actually going to look at a 1.8t this morning. Ive driven a few and liked them a lot s we shall see where this goes, and their fuel milage is pretty good too.

VW's are nice cars BUT... they always have some stupid sensor issue or something to nickle and dime you. If you really want to get a decent car without to much of an issue go for honda/acura, toyota camry, subaru ect.

Lumina??? Dammmmmmnnnnnn Nicole is a NARC!!!

                      Ricense and Legislation Jeep Freak!

I am hoping to trade a '92 Briarwood XJ for a '87 BMW 325 today

I like to do classic or modified insurance.

I was quoted $109 to drive my Jeeps

                      ('86 CJ-7 and a '92 Limited XJ)to shows etc. blahblahblah

mileage limits of 3500 each annually and a stated value of 10K each no collision

They don't send adjusters to inspect under 30K value

You have to have a vehicle with regular insurance per driver in the household though...

It saves me like $3000 a year this way

i'm feeling the older BMW's from the 80's

Almost got a '84 BMW (E28)524td (turbo diesel) with a veggie oil conversion kit and veggie producing vat for $3500 but I snoozed on it too long

Gotta love that veggie go juice @ $.60 a gallon to make it yourself 80 gallons at a clip
