I can understand that a a large portion of blame would be put on the driver, but lets be fucking honest here. I'd be willing to bet that an enormous majority of passengers killed in accidents similar to this, knew exactly how drunk the driver of the vehicle was, and to some extent may have even provoked(or at the least, didn't oppose to) retarded driving behavior themselves. With a person like Ryan Dunn, and knowing the "crew" he surrounds himself with, I would put down a large sum of money that both parties were up for some shenanigans in Dunn's new Porsche that night, putting both parties at fault. The passenger could have easily done what he could to stop Dunn from driving, but he obviously didn't.

So, frankly, I'm not sure I give a shit that the passenger was killed. Now, if an innocent car was involved in the wreck, that would be a different story.

bad situation, unfortunate events. Though, there is NO reason to just talk mad shit, yes it was stupid. And as phil says, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. But I have been following the jackass guys since the beginning. He was a GREAT friend to those he knew, and those he met. He was one of the guys at the bar you could approach and he would just shoot the shit, he loved his life and had fun. Those who are kinda closed minded and hate the "jackass'' side of things, are of course not gonna have anything nice to say.

Also, vince neil had the chance to fix his shit, after KILLING SOMEBODY....and LIVING....going to JAIL....and then DOING IT AGAIN! Pretty sure Dunn would have changed things around a bit had he lived, but then again, we shall never know

as stated before, dunn already crashed his car driving drunk before, a couple miles from the spot this happened, and was cited for a DUI then as well.

he could have cured cancer by kissing babies, it doesnt change the fact it was stupid/irresponsible/dangerous/insert word here to take your porsche 130 mph while wasted on public roads (not a highway as far as im aware), which is the discussion... no?

Where in my post did I claim to know him, its pretty much common sense to change your minds thought process after killing your good friend in an accident and living to regret it.

Somebody I work with at Nissan grew up with Dunn, and actually went to his service, and he told me a bunch of stories from back in the day. He was a really caring dude, go to jackassworld.com and read some of their blogs about him, stories, quotes. Again, the only thing I was getting at is that the people that are talking shit only know him as that moron from jackass... Though stories from friends and others show the other side of the preverbal rainbow so to speak, you cant just smash on somebody cause you think they are stupid, am I wrong?

i dont think anyone is smashing on him as a person (maybe i am wrong) but moreso on his decision which killed him and his friend.

No offense or anything, but this is one of the most ridiculous serious posts I've seen in the past few days. First off, I don't like disrespecting or insulting the deceased, but what he did was grossly irresponsible. I'm sure he didn't do it with malice of intent, but he gambled with his life and the life of someone else and lost.

I don't doubt that he was a decent person, but that doesn't excuse what he did. I don't understand the whole "closed-minded" allegations. Jackass is what it is, I don't think anyone legitimately hates it, some may find it more entertaining than others though. But this event had nothing to do with Jackass at all.

Also, Dunn already got a DUI, that should've been enough to change the way he went about his social life. There is no difference between him and Neil. Both took risks and people lost their lives because of it.

This hits home for me. 3 of my friends died in a car accident, the main story: were they or were they not drag racing?? Not my friends were dead.
