Digital camera recommendation

I have a canon s5is. I like it alot, but I wouldn't consider it rugged. And using double A's s's the d.

my suggestion is get anything that is even vaguely durable that is current generation canon that is in your price range.

any camera on earth can take a pano shot with the right basic software to stitch photos if youre worried about that

bigger optical zoom is good. digital zoom is a useless gimmick.

it sounds like most any point and shoot will fit your needs.
