Well, I traveled into the City to visit Vehcieless's apartment and we decided unanimously to see the Car Show on Monday. We woke up early and got there right as it opened at around 10 AM and it was quite the wise decision because no one was there that early. The truck and SUV displays on the bottom level were barren until about 12:00.
We were first graced with the presence of Camp Jeep, which sucked, to put it simply. It was almost insulting to people like us who take Jeeps offroad every other weekend, yet there where people in line waiting to ride shotgun in a JK over some logs. LAME.
Well, we went inside and started off in the Toyota Truck and SUV section on and didn't get many pics there that were noteworthy, but I quickly turned my attention to the Ford section and Nic and I both spent a good 15 minutes staring at the Ford Raptor. It was sexy, to say the least.
We wandered around a bit, got a ride in a Chevrolet Volt driven by a very good looking female Chevy rep as she explained the car to us. No pics, sorry, no sense in taking a picture of a Brand New volt and I didn't think at the time to shove a camera in the nice lady's face.
We saw some Ford Mustangs and looked around...
...Then headed to the Jeep section where the Jeep Wrangler Mojave was and it was pretty awesome. I loved the desert tan and I wanted to sit inside but the doors where locked and accepting that disappointment, I just realized there probably wasn't anything different about that interior versus and other JK. So I took pics of it and moved on.
The Ram Outdoorsman was fucking awesome and I got some shots of that as well.

The problem was after we saw some of the jeeps and some of the Dodge Rams, there wasn't much else to see. Mitsubishi does nothing for me, same with GM and the SUVs made by Mercedes Benz and whatever else was down there, so Nic and I headed on over to the Luxury Car wing.
...and it was Glorious.

And here is a cool story (bro): I noticed the Lotus display tucked away in the center of the grand hall and I had to see what was on display. They had the new Esprit, 2 Evoras and a white Exige. As you all should know, I love everything Lotus makes. In my eyes they can do no wrong. I have no idea why, but their styling, to me, is spectacular and there has always been a special chamber in my heart for the Exige.
Well, the entire section was roped off, so we asked this very very nice lady who saw us taking pictures if we could go on the other side and take pictures and she said yes. SCORE.

Security let us on the other side and we took some pics and then she walked over to the Exige and unlocked it, so Nic asked if we could sit in it and she said 'Yes'. Fuck. Yes.
So I fucking sat in one and looked awesome for the camera.
Sorta.
Well, it was so enlightening to sit in one. Not only do you have to fall into that vehicle, then climb over the frame on the side, but once you are in that car, you are fucking locked in a ready to go. Eventually you learn the graceful way to exiting and entering, I hope, but I tried to be as graceful as possible and got in and out without much problems. The steering wheel is a little small, but I just wanted to do 120 sitting there. It was the closest thing I can think of to sitting in a fighter jet without actually being inside a fighter jet. I was thrilled.
After thanking the nice Lotus Lady profusely, we moved on to other stuff.
Rolls Royce Phantom: one of the coolest front ends I've ever seen. It reminds me so much of cars of an older era where aerodynamics was scoffed at and pure power was all that mattered. Granted, I'm not sure how much power those put out, but the front end, to me, looks bad-the-fuck-ass.
Well, after wandering through the Luxury car section some more, we moved onto the Bullshit-cars you see on the road every day- section that had Volkswagon and Fiat and other Crap I really had no care for, but Dodge was there so we had to see that.
As we became disappointed in what was on display, I saw this:
And suddenly became interested in everything FIAT.
So Nic sat inside of a Fiat 500 while my attention was elsewhere. I don't give a fuck about Fiats....
So anyway, the Fiat section sucked except for her and we headed to the Dodge Display. About this time the show was getting extremely crowded, so all of my pictures became plagued with undesirable people blocking everything.
Dodge had an excellent display going and if there was any one company that should have won an award for 'Best Exhibit', it would have been them. Everyone else was bland and nothing really caught your eye by using whites and faded blues and not really grabbing your attention. Then there was Dodge with everything that is awesome.

Oh and right next to that display was the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.
...And me being sad 'cause I'll never own one.
The Ford display was decent enough, but they had Ken Block's rally Fiesta (or at least a painted up Fiesta) and a driving simulator that Nic took a ride in (and failed miserably).
Then came some Cadillac goodness, but once again, nothing really exciting from Cadillac...except...well...
Yeah...
This was the only Nice GM thing I saw there.
It looks like one mean truck, the rest were boring yawn whatever.
Then this lady saw I was taking pictures of her and I think she closed the trunk of that Camaro extra sexy...just for me...
Or at least that is what I tell myself while she was thinking about throwing my corpse in there.
So anyway, I took a lot of pics but nothing else was really exciting. I'll post more up later.
