On road, i think you cant have any lights on that are higher than your regular headlights, so lights mounted on your A Pillar, or roof, or hood would be a no-go. I also think if you have lights on your roof, they are suppose to have a cover on them to prevent you from accidentally hitting them on and blinding someone.

As a percaution for myself i treat all aux lights as high beams OFF is theres someone comeing. i also only use them on really dark back roads and such.

ive had aux lights uncovered on my roof for about 5 years now and going..been in all the states around here a substantial amount of time that way and have never gotten hassled at all.

just dont use em on the road.

Lights on your roof are only legal if they are covered. period. I got pulled over for then uncovered by some tool of a park ranger or something

You can only have aftermarket lights on your vehicle if it is 4 wheel drive only. Any 2wd vehicle with them on, you will be thrown in jail.

for legality reasons, i removed all light-emitting objects from my vehicle.
