That wasn't just any stream...

It was more like a Sinkhole.

We are 99% sure that the "sinkhole" was purposely put there as the trail that goes through the stream leads to someones backyard who probably didn't want us there.

Probably, people are idiots. There was some trail out west where people put thin metal wire right at neck height across the trail because they were annoyed with guys riding dirt bikes through there. That could've easily killed somebody.
