I don't think that this is all that true. My friends' legs both were hurting after a few hours in the rear(both over 6') so I don't know if that is something that makes much of a difference over a TJ. People also have trouble getting in and out of the tiny rear doors without rubbing up against a dirty Jeep.

          • I won't even entertain the idea that the cherokee is suppose to seat 4. I just fold teh rear seat down. Better cargo room.

If I want to drive more then 2 people in luxury, I'll break out the Wagoneer. That can seat like 6 comfortably.

and the drivers seat is pretty damn comfy.

so that point about 4 comefortable seats seems lost on me. Although, ive had 4 people in my TJ for a few long drives (6 hours or so) without anyone bitchin.

I have my hammock and a rollcage. so normally if i find a tree its naptime.
and mike you cant argue this one with me. I know how much you like that hammock

and as for stuff, yes, i would like more storage space, but it isnt really the end of the world. I could always get racks and stuff, but just hate the look, so i dont. Instead i usually leave out my rear seat and just keep the back open for cargo. Wheeling trips are usually the only time i fill that space to the max. Bangarang once strapped a fullsize pull-out couch in the back of his TJ. that was pretty funny hahaha.

As for the wheelbase, yes its awesome offroad, but onroad, I actually really like my SWB.

just rebutting. not trying to argue, just tellin the TJ side.

And as for the lawnmower comment. I dont doubt that. hahaha
My buddy has a rubicon. Hes 6'1. He has his seat back so far, that its impossible to sit in the rear seat behind him, so i would consider it a 3 person car. 2 Person if the front passenger is also really tall.

The hammock is convenient Fred, but if its the winter or really cold out, or you arent around trees, your SOL. I can always sleep inside my jeep.

If fit 5, 35" tires, and a dana 44 in the back of my jeep before. TJ guys couldnt do that.

One thing I do like about TJ's offroad is that they have a really awesome turning radius, can maneuver through tight spots that longer vehicles cant.

was just saying I can fit 4 people in my jeep, 5 If i wanted. 2 Tall people in the front of a TJ and nobody is riding in the back. I can have my XJ seat pushed all the way back and still fit passengers.

1)He shoulda thought about that before he got that tall.

2)I live in the north east and Im not a bitch. Trees are everywhere and I camp outside year round under the stars (no tent).

                3) wanna bet?

                and oh yeah,

                4) i think we need to see a measurement of leg room in a cherk and a TJ, because honestly I dont think its THAT much bigger. in fact, im pretty sure its pretty close. Kai's jeeps seat motors up front are burnt out in a rather far back position. if i sit in the back, i dont have very much room. in fact my knees hit the seat. and im only 5'8". reguardless, I can have MY seats pushed back all the way and still carry passangers in the back, why? because im not like you Mike, I believe that midgets are people to...

                yeah, i said it.

                Hater.

                          • I have the drivers seat almost all the way back so I feel sorry for whoever sits behind me. I'm 5'7" of legs and I don't drive ghetto style either.
