I got my TJ because I like crusing without a top or doors without having to take a sawzall to the damn thing. (im a cheerleader I know)
I like having a rollcage, even though it could use some beef.
I love the look of them.
More aftermarket support than any factory production car out there. (If not true I heard wrong, but thats kinda hard for me to believe)
I knew what I wanted to do with it. (okay, I thought I knew.) and it seemed like a good platform to start with.
and I needed something newer to replace my YJ which was dying.
that about wraps it up for why I got one.
oh, and plus Its harder to find 5-speed XJs.

There needs to be more options. We plan on doing light wheeling with Sarge (the CJ7) when it gets done. And we eventually want to get a TJ too.
We got the XJ because I saw a badass one and fell in love. Plus having 2 kids means an XJ is more practical. The YJ we had first was good for little jaunts, nothing too far away. Not enough room.
