  • TJ paint schemes

My friend bought a 97 tj 4 banger for 400 bucks with a blown motor last week. He's going to MA this weekend to grab a 4.0 nv3550, np231 with harness and what not for a $1000. He's going to do poison spider toob fenders and a 44 rear when he blows up the d35 and is going to run 33's for now.

He's going to paint it and is looking for paint schemes. Have you guys seen any that you really like? I know this is kind of jeepforumy, but I value your opinions more than those guys lol. His last jeep was a frame off restoration YJ that came out near perfect.

semi gloss black for all the tube

and then a real deep dark electric blue with metallic flake for the body.

    ORRRR...............

That same color blue for all the tube.

And then that factory burnt orange metallic for the body.

No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

JP paint? I was thinking bassboat paint.

He won't go for JP paint though. He likes his rides to be more subtle than that. I wish I could find a picture of his old jeep for reference.

Then go with Zullo's option. I think it would look good, either that or Black with some gray and red accents. I dunno, just make it look good.

I do love that look... but it is sort of overplayed IMO.

other than that i have no useful insight other than i am a fan of black cage silver body or colormatch

true, its mainly because some wranglers came stock with a "willy's edition" theme package on them.

I stripped my jeep of every everything, lined the floor, no center console, flat black interior including door panels etc and had some actual army numbers put on it, it got alot of attention. I do miss it.

This is similar and I am partial to this paint scheme.
