Try the chalk method I've never done it, search google. Basically set the air pressure for full tread contact. too much you wear out the center too little you wear out the corners.
Weight and tire width etc make a big difference.
I usually run around 20psi-25psi for the road on 35s in a CJ, That's when I had a DD CJ soon I will have another CJ for a DD.
offroad I found 6psi to work best. 4 was a little low 8 was a little high. But that all depends on tire sidewall thickness.
Just try different pressures and see what works for your tires. I basically go by the curve of the tire.
I competed for 2 years with no bead locks at 4-6psi and never lost a bead the Coopers have some strong beads or something.
