I wear a helmet when I ride usually. I've smacked my cranium more than a few times and had a handful of concussions. So I'm trying to avoid anymore brain damage amage amage amage. That being said Red helmets have always treated me right. No idea what they go for retail, I've always paid cost for em (worked at a snowboard shop).1993 XJ sport 3.5" rustys 33" MTZ's armored.

i have knocked myself out for 30 min. and have a few other less sever head injuries from snow boarding.
I never wore a helmet, not sure how it would help, on the bad one i hit my jaw, and on 2 others i cased a half pipe and fell to the bottom, so im not sure if a helmet would have stopped my brain from smashing into the side of my skull"when I'm riding my motorcycle,I'm glad to be alive...when I stop riding my motorcycle,I'm glad to be alive"

I would recommend a helmet for this, I've had a TBI(reason why I'm out of work) and it' not fun at all. I gave up riding (i've been rding for 25 years or more)dirtbikes/quads/ threewheelers because if I get another head injury my Dr said I'd be in a pine box. Bad things CAN happen so there's nothing wrong with being safe!

i've never worn one and doubt i ever will. i mean i'll prob retire from the sport in a year or 2 anyway due to old age. idk maybe one day i'll grab one but i don't really see it happening.
though since you're looking i've heard good things about Bern and Red. i'm not sure of any other companys though. see what fits bestI drive a Datsun

And the whole cool thing is just dumb.
I am not saying erry body has to wear a helmet. I just think that just because you don't do extreme things or have never fallen means that you are exempt from a spill that could potentially make you a vegetable. And not being cool is just a phawking stupid reason not to wear a helmet. Plus have you seen some of the new helmets and helmet covers... they are rather trendy.Last edited by SupermanIce-J; 02-24-2011, 09:31 PM.2013 F150 fx4 (Tow Pig/DD)- 5.0 with the 3.73 option
