Fairfield, CT — A Jeep Cherokee caught fire and blocked lanes on the northbound I-95 just south of Bridgeport Wednesday morning.
The fire was reported to the Connecticut Highway Patrol at 10:05 a.m. and blocked the two right lanes.
A lifted black Jeep Cherokee burst into flames on the I-95 North bound this morning about 10:05 a.m. The driver was able to escape the car and was seen running away while making Tie-Fighter noises. Fairfield County firefighters were able to put out the flames. The CHP issued a SigAlert for 30 minutes and traffic backed up down the 95 to Greenwich.
