So im looking into building/selling bumpers. and i wana see if anyone has any interest.
heres a few pics
its kinda like a jcr style but a little bit different. I didn't like how the jcr bumpers were made outa 2x5 because it left the silly front crossmember exposed quite a bit, and i think that looks fugly. so i made this one outa 2x6, and cut the front side down to 5" to give it an angle down to the front crossmeber. This way it isnt a jay leno bumper and it wont hurt your approach angle. its hard to see but the bumper follows the lines of the grill and sticks out just far enough when installed. it also wraps around and under the front fenders a bit, to give a little extra protection without looking retarded.
the brackets themselves are what took most my time to make. they use 7 bolts to tie in and are 1/4" thick, then to 1/2" at the stock mounting holes, then where it butts up to the bumper it is 3/4" all the way through to the shackle mount...... in other words, its beefcake
im curious if there are enough people interested where i can get a couple lengths of steel and produce them for a reasonable price..... I also wana state that i can work on designing anything to fit your needs, so if you want a hitch mount, pre-runner bar, stinger, ect... i would be more than happy to do it upppp....
