  • No more Jeep for now. But I do have a car.

Well since the Jeep has kinda been gone for about 3 weeks I figured I'd get around to buying another car. Drove 15 hours round trip to Maryland to pick this up.

2000 Subaru 2.5RS w/ swapped in EJ205, V5 STi RA 5spd Trans and some other stuff. It has a catless turbo back exhaust and up-pipe, Koni coilovers, Rallispec sways and a redonkulous blowoff valve that sounds like a schoolbus..

Body is mint, was a Colorado car so zero rust. And best of all I picked it up for the same price my Jeep sold for cause it has a few minor quirks. Horn is broken, no rear seat belts, and I cant pass emissions with no cats but all of it is an easy fix, for the price I couldn't say no.

So far candidate fastest car I have ever driven, it is scary when the turbo spools. I cant wait to have it actually properly tuned.

    Pic or two:

    Plans:

    Get the ECU tuned
    STi Front Brakes
    Front Strut Bar
    Better header
    Not be broke

Not going to be on the road till Monday. Im getting pretty sick of driving it up and down my street.

I like the fact that it has 4 driven wheels. Like my Jeep.

No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

Got it for 5500. Cheapest I have seen a swapped GC sell for online.

And I plan to see some dirt in it. I want mudflaps first though so as to not fuck up the new paint.

Thats a great price if its done right and will go through emmisions. (not likely)

It wont pass emissions as is but i'm gonna see if I can have the ECU programmed to ignore the O2 sensors saying the cat isnt there or maybe buy those inline plugs to fix it. As long as it doesnt trip the engine light I should be fine. It has a resonator so it looks like there is a cat and besides that the only giveaway is it smells like a 1970's car, exhaust smells like gas when it is running.

If not then I have to spring 600 bucks for a good quality catted downpipe.

I see you're in NY. It wouldn't pass here unless the ecu can communicate with the emmision computer.
