Whether you have a generator or not, diesel will be hard to find clean in the event of disaster.

    also this simple equation:

Team Will haz generator, Team EveryOtherPerson who has a family to protect in the Fairfield area can hear/see/knows Team Will haz generator, Team EveryOtherPerson stops at nothing to protect what they hold dear and does whatever it takes to insure that power is theirs.

In an "end-of-days" scenario, guns will not matter, and no amount of planning or supplies or ammo or teammates will stop one desperate person from waiting till your sleeping to slip a knife between your ribs.

So not to rain on anyones parade/end of the world mayhem fest, but if the time of disaster comes, we're all fucked equally, cuz no matter who you are there is someone out there who is stronger/faster/more-shootier/crazier than you.

And ps i am SO excited for christmas

Why would it be hard to find diesel clean? What type of "disaster"? These circumstances are way too broad to disprove any kind of real plan in place

Says who, am I running this generator in a field? the plan doesnt take place at my house, or in my garage, or anywhere visible to an outside populace.

I also disagree with this. Well not totally, in the sense that you cant prevent everything, of course thats true, thats just basic common sense. But having a lack of any of the above (plans, ammo, supplies, protection so on) puts you at a major disadvantage right at the get go. Why not be as ready as you can as opposed to just...not? Guns level the playing field.

The entire point of a plan is to plan for if you get to a certain point, if youre dead from the start of course you cant use a plan, but you dont not make a plan just because you may not surrive, that doesnt make any sense.

Without someone actually knowing my "plan" I would imagine its hard to argue the logic of it.

You said vehicles running on diesel will be in abundance, well when you think of a disaster where people just up and leave their vehicles wherever it brings to mind something horrific

guns certainly are a leveller, but only to the extent that anyone who has one has power over those who dont, or those who hesitate

you just explained why it seems ridiculous to have a disaster plan, this is the paradox

i understand what youre getting at though, the idea of being, at least mentally prepared for an "occurrence" of life-disabling nature is importance, i just feel that spending time planning out every finite detail is not only tedious but ineffective under stress and anxiety. Do i have supplies in my vehicle for inclement weather? yes as i do tools in case of failure and cd's in case I'm bored, but i do not have a spring loaded gun case under my seat which will quickly shoot a cocked, locked and ready to rock flaming spear-gun into my hands to combat the shark-monster that has roamed onto land as its allergic to seawater...

That allegory was a little over the top... but i think you get what I'm saying Wilhelm

everyones gonna jump in a school bus and 18 wheeler and dump truck and head for the hills? public vehicles that run on diesel are not peoples prime form of transport (nor do they live with them). Youre telling me none of these will be around under any circumstance? I dont plan to exist for years on these resources, of course at some point you branch out or run out, but for a matter of weeks i dont foresee it being completely illogical at all.

Disaster isnt necessarily instantaneous either, depending which type.

I do get what youre saying entirely, i dont disagree, but FWIW my "plan" isnt the typical "GRAB MAH SIX SHOOTER AND HEAD FOR THE HILLS" scenario.

Number 1 before anyhting is WATER. Not one thing on this earth would be alive without water. Even sunlight comes second to water. Now if fuel of any sort was able to be found and contained a generator could also be used to make potable water. MREs are dumb and I love how there is always an MRE reference when people talk about the end of the world. The world is running just fine now, I challenge you to go and "stock up" on MREs. NCIS will not like your food choice and you will be spending $10,000 for a pallet of civilian marketable MREs, thats 40 boxes which is 480 MRE meals. At 2 a day is 240 days worth. If MREs are your only food source and you dont have the metabolism of a humming bird you will die. Secondly the best way to stay alive is to take it to the sea. I would go with an oil rig. It would already have water making components (which Jon will keep running) We will make our own fuel from the oil we drill (Jon will do that as well) Will will fly our heckalopter to make trips to land. Our defense will be a Phalanx CIWS which Phill will keep working. The Sis crew will be able to live on our rig in return fo working and maintaining. I will be in charge of all activities such as game night and mixers. Zulo will be the bartender. Every member will be armed at all times. Any zombie, human, or angry dolphin which comes with in 1 click of our rig will be dispached by Phil. We will maintain the rights and laws of the us. Medical/Fires will be handled my the twins. I must return to work. Long Live SIS.

You are actually part of the plan we devised, next time I see you we will have to explain it you in detail. It will change your life
