  • Preparations/plans for disaster

So, why in todays society is a person considered "crazy" or "retarded" for having a well thought out plan in the event of a disaster?? (political breakdown, hurricane lawlessness (think katrina), military emergency, so on and so forth...zombies too. )

Was talkin to our very own TSICarroll ( ) briefly and was deemed crazy for having formulated a plan for just such an occasion. (disaster)

Having survival plans like, fresh water, electricity, food for sustained living, firearms/defense, living quarters, so on.

Of course this isnt all on sam...i get this general consensus from people that if you plan for the worst/for (hopefully unlikely) disaster, youre a nut.

    Why?

HOLD. Until 10 minutes ago I was introduced to this plan as an defense against zombies. Nothing more, nothing less.

A plan for disaster is a great idea. I will give you boys the benefit of the doubt until I hear the actual plans... but the zombie part makes me .

samanthaC242 (1:09:37 PM): are you thinking like will smith in i am legend
samanthaC242 (1:10:09 PM): thats what i picture when i think of the type of plan your talking

also for clarification... "zombie" doesnt refer to a mass of groaning mindless brain eaters waltzing around all willynilly with will smith in tow....

any global/national disease epidemic that renders society inoperable is comparable to a "zombie apocalypse"

Why do you people think I stockpile thousands of rounds of Ammunition?

A good plan is paramount. If anything were to happen, a well rehearsed and supplied plan of attack is exactly what will get you through it. It just needs to be easy to remember AND implement so it all doesn't fall apart when shit hits the fan.\

                      long story short
                      good plan=good idea

I've got a list of rules that Id abide by if such a catastrophe took place. And also Twinkies, lots and lots of Twinkies.

I actually just dismantled one a few weeks ago. These people bought a house from a Vietnam vet and had us take it down. This thing was solid. It even had a hidden entrance, like the basement stairs lifted up, and it had a hand crank vent that took in air from outside the foundation. It was fucking cool, if I was a serial killer, that would've been my spot.

well, this is quite the coincidence. i was planning on starting a thread such as this in the near future. ive always grown up around the country lifestyle and assumed disasters wouldnt be soo much of an inconvenience for me and my family and friends. buttt in the past couple of months ive been thinking more into my preparedness level and came to the conclusion that i would be fucked lol. soo just recently ive started preparing for something "catastrophic." its going slowly but surely and ive decided that ive got a long way to go before ill be ready, but anything is better than nothing. its just a matter of time before ill be ready to take on some fucking brainless bitches lol
