Anyone know anything about head units?

pioneer is good. but i perfer ecplise. why? pioneer= 55wx4....most eclipse=5v. more power to speakers without 4channel= better sound


EDIT: Also do you have anything besides just the base sound system in the dubj? Cause I remeber jeep used to throw amplified systems into the Grand Cherokees, which were usually Infinity. Where if you changed the head unit you'd have to jump the amp and replace the speakers or they would blow out over a short period

i got alpine, always had them now i have the flip out tv one in my xj, fawking love it

This thing is at least 8 years old and is holding up fine. I definitely would say alpine or pioneer.

ive had luck with sonys and pioneer, never really had an issue with any head unit's honestly. the honda has a pioneer from the thats at least 5+ years old and it still works, the sony I had made it through multiple heavy down pours with no top on before it finally gave me any problem (wouldnt switch from cd to radio, otherwise still worked fine)

it really comes down to price and features but they"re all good in one way or another. I run a pioneer and it's the biggest pile o crap! yet I have had other pioneers that were great.
