Anybody else see it?

I didnt think it was half as good as the British one. Tanner Foust seemed like the only one that had ever driven a car before, and the whole thing was too scripted, in the one section they sounded like Dodge Viper salesmen. Most of the jokes were pretty corny too, not really all that funny.

Hopefully it will get better.

NBC should have bought the rights to broadcast top gear, not to try and mimic it

agreed the british one is hilarious and this one isnt funny. though if you go back and watch the original episodes when top gear was reaired in england (circa 2001) clarkson wasn't funny either. so maybe this will get better

If it does, it may take a few seasons because Alex brings up a good point. UK Top Gear wasn't Amazingly funny the first season or so, it just evolved into something that adopted a very dry humor which people love about it.

But also, what really is the point of the American Version? What can they do that the British haven't done already in terms of tests and challenges?

It was ok. I thought the production quality and videography was terrible compared to the British one. Tanner was the only one who knew anything about cars too. I'll keep watching, hopefully it will get better. Plus, I saw some Raptor in the beginning

Anyone see the new one last night? I think that was the best one yet..pretty funny. They bought 1000 dollar cars and beat the fuck out of them. The Guy destroyed his caddy, the thing got more frame damage than heavy and junior put together

i saw it and enjoyed it. in British top gear the hosts have many years of doing the show together to develop their humor and friendship. but the episode last night appeared fun. I liked it.
