almost, but funeral directors usually go through at least 2 years of school as well as 2 years as an apprentice in order to take their licensing test. this job sort of fell into my lap..so, no.

It really doesn't get much odder then what has been said, just more uncommon/less know about. My friend decided he wanted to be a funeral director when he was 17, now thats weird.

you got yourself a batch of brownies my friend. yes, i am a cremator. ive been there a little over a week now and even tho it might seem like a weird or creepy job, its not that bad. i mean, there are definitely some people who wouldnt be able to work in a place like this, but its a very steady, well paying and modest career.

people have no idea what funeral homes and crematories bring in. most cemeteries own crematories, therefore the town/state usually owns them so its non profit, but they usually generate around $40,000 a month. times ten months is 400,000, thats almost a half a mil a year most people are doing cremations now because burials can cost tens of thousands of dollars, whereas a cremation runs around $300. also, people are going against religion and their beliefs because they would rather do that than be in debt due to burying a loved one, which is sensible.
