  • Bike inspection

I have a temp. tag on my bike and need to get it inspected by the 20th so I can get my real plate on it. The only thing is that the guy I bought it from had straight pipes on it with no baffles. Anyone know if they are real sticklers about this?

Anyone what happens if they fail me?

I thought in CT you only needed a vin inspection?

Out of like six of my friends that just registered thier bike only one had to get an inspection cause it was from jersey and they just looked at the vin, then the title and said ok. Why do you have to get it inspected? is a composite?

I bought the bike in NJ. I don't really even know. The lady handed me the temp plate and said "come in any time of the day and pull around back for an inepection"

That led me to believe it was a mechanical inspection. I've never done it before so I honestly don't even know what to expect.

Oh you're fine then, same deal as my friend. They just wanna make sure all the vin's match up. So... hopefully they do and you'll be set. took my friend ten mins.

Dont go to North Haven for it they will try to do an inspection. I went to bridgeport and some lady came out, looked at the vin, checked the title and said i'm good to go.

          Its a vin inspection btw

Are you guys still talking about bikes from out of state? When i bought mine last summer from right here in CT i didn't need to do anything w/ the bike itself to get it registered.

Bikes that are titled out of state just need a VIN verification. I had to do the same thing with mine last year since it was titles in GA.
