  • Old Guns Thread

I saw the other thread about the nice old double barrel and I was like "man I like old guns".

And I was re-arranging my Room and though it was a shame to keep these in the closet so I cleared off some shelf space and tacked them down with some of that sticky crap used for holding up posters.

I never have any small children in here so I figured it was a good spot, over my desk.

Top: 1939 Mosin Nagant P/U Sniper. Russian Sniper rifle from WWII, same thing Vassili Zaitsev used in Enemy at the Gates. Nobody makes decent ammo for it but with my handloads it can be damn accurate for a 70 year old rifle.

Bottom: 1932 Swiss K31, Has a neat push-pull bolt action and is ridiculously accurate, more so than alot of stuff you would buy new today.

I have this too, M1 Carbine. Technically its a repro but I couldn't find one in halfway decent shape that was under 1K. I don't care too much since this one is more of a shooter than a collector and it has a couple original parts in it.

Anybody else got any old guns? I love collecting this sort of stuff, I think the next addition to my collection might be a Belgian FN-49 a friend of mine is trying to get rid of.

Problem is all the guns I have aren't Old. They are just modern designs based off archaic technology.

It's hard to believe that the AR15 platform is well over 40 years old now, but I'm not going to post mine.
