Do you Enjoy the Season of Fall.

Fall is right around the corner and while technically it is still summer, the Fall chills have already begun. I don't know if I should like fall though and welcome it with open arms.

Do I like fall? This isn't a poll as I want this to be an open discussion and I don't really want NASCAR to be tainting my results.

Upsides: Sometimes the weather is perfect. Khakis and a T-shirt and perfectly comfortable, not to warm, not too cold, Thanksgiving, My Birthday, a lot of other people's birthdays, Octoberfest (both the beer and the food) and job security.

I mean, it wasn't my choice to be born in Fall, it was just my parent's choice to procreate at the fall of winter and the rise of Spring, and with all the other birthdays in the same general area of the calendar year, many other parents probably thought the same thing.


Neutral: Pumpkin Picking and Halloween. I can take 'em or leave em. Maybe I just have to find the right person / people to go with.


Downside: FUCK YOU LEAVES, FUCK YOU RAKES, FUCK YOU BAGGING LEAVES, FUCK YOU TREES FOR DYING AND SPREADING YOUR FILTH ALL OVER THE PLACE, FUCK YOU EARTH FOR YOUR BULLSHIT AXIS AND FOR MAKING US DARK AT 7, FUCK YOU WINTER FOR TAINTING MY FALL WITH CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS IN OCTOBER AND A HUGE FUCK YOU TO EVERY HUNTER THAT THINKS NOW IS THE TIME TO BUILD A CUSTOM RIFLE AND WANT IT IN 2 WEEKS SO HE CAN HUNT THIS SEASON WHEN YOU HAD ALL SUMMER TO BUILD ONE WHEN WE HAD NO WORK.

Oh well, I guess I'll just start to learn to enjoy it more. Embrace it.

i like the fall...but i hate it at the same time. it just reminds me that winter is right around the corner and i HATE the winter....but i do enjoy wearing a hoodie and not sweating all the time haha

my birthday & thanksgiving make the season much better though haha

It isn't my favorite season, but I can appreciate a lot of things about the fall. Like Phil said, its nice just to have comfortable weather for awhile. When I lived at home, fall meant cleaning up all those leaves, and if you know my family, it requires that the yard be spotless at all times. But now since I'm at school, I have nothing to do with the leaves, so who cares haha.

About fall being the precursor to winter... Well, if winter wasn't so goddamn long, I really wouldn't mind it, its a change of pace. But because it seems to last for 6 months, its a pain in the ass. I would be fine with spring and fall being 4 months long and having spring and summer be 2 months long.

Fall also means football season and baseball playoffs.

Same here my Dad is crazy about no leaves in the yard, and with these things from the trees that get stuck bewteen the bords on the deck.

I love the smells of fall. Fires, beer, food, leaves, apples.

Fall is the perfect riding weather.

I also think it's the perfect drinking weather.

Hoodies are the best thing in the world.

Leaf clean up?

I have four Stihl BR600's and a Huge engine on a trailer with a 24" hose connected to a dump truck... Leaves don't bother me. =]

Leaves = $$$$$$ and with winter being around the corner that means even more $$$$$ I will be enjoying every bit of snow this winter when im sitting in my truck driving around for $67 an hour =)

the scenery, its hunting season, the cool weather, the cool nights that you can just leave your window open and sleep in a whole mess of awesome, its hunting season, the bonfires, barbecues, the long drives with no doors on to clear your head, sitting in a tree waiting for something delicious to run into my arrow, the fact I can wear a hoodie all day and be comfortable, ANYTHING MADE FROM PUMPKIN (pies, coffee, muffins, etc), its hunting season, amazing fall beer. had my first 6 pack of octoberfest last night Its just a peaceful time....

Cannot wait to grill up that first venison steak

you are all just agreeing with fall because youve already gotten bored with summer.

guarantee in 6 months a similar thread will have similar results, praising summer over fall/winter.

fuck fall because its not cold enough to wear my good outdoor gear or for it to snow, but its too cold to wear shorts.

i like when seasons are fully engaged; ie: snowy winter and warm summer. the in betweens are just a bother.
