I have one, used it for classes at the end of last semester. Wicked cool- I have AmpliTube on it and an iRig to run it through my recording interface and can play guitar with it. I love the thing.

If you haven't gotten it already, I highly suggest picking up the keyboard for it. It won't work with Apple's case, but it made taking notes a hell of a lot easier. the Pages app is like 10 bucks, and there's two others too (an Excel-like spreadsheet program and another one) that I got and they were really useful for class.

Now that I'm back at work and not taking classes for the time being, I use it more for the AmpliTube program and some other minor sound editing software. It's seriously cool to have AmpliTube in such a portable format. The 60 bucks it cost me for the program itself and the iRig interface was well worth it for the versatility it gave me. I actually went to an open mic the other night and saw a guy playing his guitar straight through the PA using his iPad.

more like a touch, but with more stuff. you can skype with one easily, it has a built in microphone.
