8:30 pm sunday- 8,000 lb smittybuilt winch overheats in recovery effort #1
9:00 pm sunday- I arrive with only 2 wheel drive and make some recovery analysis. upon investegation learn that this soupy pit of doom was struck at approx 30 mph..... high centering the entire frame and leaving the tiny 31" tires in massive ruts.
9:45 pm sunday- Kubota tractor with low gears and 4 wheel drive, begins recovery attempt #2, doesn't even budge the jeep.
11:00 pm sunday- choice is made to try again tomorrow
11:30 am monday- Me and RJ return with said folk a bunch of straps, a chain, the super waggy and a hi lift.
12:15 pm monday- Strap into tree, use hi lift to lift the rear of the jeep high enough out of the mud. recovery #3 fails with strap and hi lift letting go.
1:00 pm monday- final attempt #4, hi lift used to directly lift the bumper and insert logs under tires. hi lift removed. straps and chain attached. With about 10 hearty yanks from the super waggy aka morning wood, Little wrangler is freed from its muddy prison at approx 2:15 pm monday.No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.
