Howdy.
Sorry to disapoint, I'm not a chick. Just a long time Jeeper. I tend to hang around a bit on JF, JU (CJ sections only), and CJ-8.com, always CJeep.
Recently moved from the Boston area to Easton, CT. Since I'm back in the Jeep game after a bit of a hiatus, I need to join a club, that's why I'm here.
Unfourtunatly, I work for Unlce Sam, who has sent me to Texas for several months. So no M&Gs for me untill late summer/early fall.
Married, two little ones. Good garage for the Scramber. My wrenching skills are so-so, hand and air tools, no welder, torch, press, or the really good stuff. I generally do my own work - lift, axle swap, complete re-wire, etc., but stopped short of pulling and rebuilding the NV4500 that the PO swore was perfect. Here's a tip, jackass, use a PILOT BUSHING or the mainshaft walks around and eats some very expensive gears. Heavy truck / PTO mechanic in Boston did such a good job, I let him install my OX on my '86 CJ WT D44, which I then swapped in.
Vortec 5.3 swap in the near future (current engine = blowby is crazy, RMS leaks, same PO "allegedly" rebuilt it, but it's still a carbed 6 in a FI V8 world).
Enough about me, here are some pics:
Looking forward to meeting some of you in the near future at a run or M&G.
Mike
