Hello, I was a member for a while, then I sold my Jeep and bought a Subaru. The respective vehicles looked like these:
I didnt have a Jeep for a while and in the meantime turned my Subaru into a track car. But the inconveniences of driving a stripped out race car have gotten to me so I have purchased a truck also. 89 Comanche, Red, Short Bed, Auto, 156,000mi. It lived its life in Arizona until around 2002 when it made its way here and then sat in a shed for 10 years. The body is in great shape for 23 years old, no rust, no dents, paint isnt even hardly faded. Interior could use some work (rather musty and there is moss growing in the carpet) but for $1500 I cant complain.
Its only 2wd though so I bought a 99 XJ 4x4 for another 200 bucks to convert it.
No planning on going crazy with this one, I want it to stay nice, in 2 years it will qualify for historic plates. Maybe 3in on 31's and an air locker. And also perhaps someone knows the answer to my question that I posed in the tech forum about the 4x4 swap.
