Was visiting Centralia yesterday with my wife and nephew... Walked up the closed section of Route 61 and stumbled upon a couple of members from here. Figured I would swing in to see what the site was about and post up my junk.

Picked up my bone stock YJ back in 2005... Currently sits like this:

Pretty much just a weekend beater. Sitting on 33's with 3.5" of lift, MetalCloak tube fenders, AtoZ bumpers, winch, etc, etc.... I'm in need of an axle/locker upgrade at some point, but will probably hold off until I finally blow something up.

Had good days and bad in it... The worst probably drowning in Lake Christy @ Rausch:

Needless to say, snorkel or not, I'll avoid 5' deep water from now on... :P

Besides the Jeep... I've got a WRX Wagon that I picked up earlier this year to have some fun with. Mostly a dedicated daily driver... I like having the extra cargo space for weekend trips to camp, snowboard, beach, etc. And it's quick and peppy, and just overall a fun car to drive.

Although deep down, I still miss my first "build"... My best of the best... My Festiva:

This was a compilation of 3 cars... And each build got better... It was shaved, european bodykit, headlight and tail light swap, engine swap, brake swap, ragtop, air suspension, gas filler relocated behind the tail light, etc, etc.... It wasn't fast, but it was just a great little car.

And after getting rid of that one... I built this one:

This was a "stock" Festiva with a built Escort GT engine swapped under the hood. It was an autoX toy; everything stripped out of the interior, no heater core, etc.

Anyways..... That's my brief history... Look forward to checking out some more of the site.

Will be at Rausch on Saturday with my brother and a couple friends if anyone is heading out...

And the sunken Rausch trip wasn't actually terrible. It was November, but not freezing cold (although the inside smelled until the end of summer)... The Jeep started up after pumping out water for a few minutes, and it made it BACK through the water to get out where we went in from. While trying to get out (without going back through the water), the guy in the tan Jeep that pulled me out flopped on his drivers side trying to get out on of the other hills. He laughed it off, pulled out his bashed fender and moved on.

Quote Phill: Do you drink lots of coffee? I drink it once in a while and I get varying effects. Some days it doesn't bother me but others my heart races like a greyhound from the Vet after the owners realize that it cant race anymore and needs to die. Fuck that, find me some owner with big tits and I'll be cute and slow the rest of my life.

hahaha, just because you have a Snokle doesn't mean you can be like Pierce Brosnan in his Piece Burban in the movie Dante's Peak.

Thanks... The retro's are awesome. Not sure what all I've got planned for the bugeye yet. I want to keep it DD'able, so I'm not sure if lowering it or anything like that is in the future. Probably a dedicated set of summer wheels and then put some Blizzaks on the stockers for winter.

As far as "where" in Central PA... I'm a bit north of Harrisburg, about 20-25~ minutes from Rausch.

Lesson learned on the snorkel too. I thought I had it sealed up fine (and didn't realize that the lake dipped quite like it did), but obviously didn't. I've debated taking the snorkel off, but like the looks of it on just for a badass factor. :P

The only way that snorkel is going to have a badass rating is if you have lava-proof tires to go with them.
