Rc lifts have gotten a LOT better in recent years, 4.5" lift i think is running high 700's now. If you buy it, buy it through the vendor on NAXJA so you get the discount and the full leaf packs....the cheaper versions you get online and ebay are just the add a leafs and people keep bitching about it

I ran mine for over a year without one but its a smart thing to get especially if you are going to be wheeling it .

I had the rc 3 inch lift on my old xj. front coils i liked. Shocks are okay you will be reaplacing them. I was in the same boat i was in hs no cash lol its not bad but the rear springs i did not have had a block and add a leaf but no complantes. for a start go for it its only about 300 shipped to your door but if you want to do it right save up go re btw clayton is comming out with a 3.5 inch xj lift

RC stuff is much better then years ago. Maybe andrew will chime in and tell you how durable it is . My buddy ran the 3" kit for awhile and it works decent
