guys can some one help,
i have a 2000 xj with a 4.0 with the security key (gray key) i jumped in it and it didnt start just turns over the gauges dont move but the key light stays on and the milage thing will come up and say no bus.my buddy plugged in a meter and it came up cant read ecm????my boy took out his computer out of his 98 with the black key,computers have the same part number put mine in his and his in mine. well my gauges move and mine tryed to start and that was it.his just turned over.we switched the computers back...NOW his will start for 2 seconds and shut off the code is coming up cant read key but his doesnt have the security key,mine same shit turns over.did we screw up his computer by putting it in mine???any help would be great.
