I'm guessing soft roading is the new term for grocery getter, soccer mom (or dad ) transport, "Hey my new car on lease is different from yours".......etc.

The folks in Suffield will LOVE this thing. My XJ will hope for their demise sitting in the parking lot.

Normally it is fine to run these commercials, until the last part of the list

Jeep: Go anywhere you want in our shitty, ass ugly new four wheel drive car just in case the Wrangler doesn't tickle your balls quite like our new vehicle does.

Why does it seem like Jeep is always competing with itself?

They call them a 9 speed. They have been in the mercedes for a while. Its a Mercedes trans. 722.9. It is 9 speeds total. 7 forward, and 2 reverse. I think they start in second gear and shift 5 times. If the inclinometer (sp?) shows it backing up a steep hill it will use "low" reverse gear.
I have worked on, and driven them in the mercedes. Weird, but not terrible.
