ive been getting into welding more recently, so much easier than bolting things together for the small projects i do. I biggest tendecy is to hold the puddle to long and burn thru

here is some from a lawn mower plow frame I started at lunch

markup of brace's 60 degree angle cut on one side, need to cut other side and then weld in center+plow frame (old atv plow)

up to 40% off parts from advance auto parts, buy online and pick up at store for free-click here!

welded up a JCR build a bumper for my brother and practicing some welding.

bent and tac welded it all up at the shop then brought it home to final weld.

changing the settings as i went along with weave pattern, trial and error.

the end pieces that take up the gap between the bumper and tail lights i did last and came out the best.

Ok now I really want to play. Spent the last three weeks practicing almost every night tig welding. Now I get to really play.
                      Here's a fuel tank

Today I spent four hours in a 8 inch by 36 inch box welding all new cross members. All spool gun work was absolutely miserable.

This was my area to work

On that tank did you run a root pass before that? Looks way better than what i can do on aluminum.

No I just ratchet strapped a piece of flat 1/8 aluminum to fit the contour of the tank and laid it in there. There's a few shifty spots cause the new kid doesn't understand don't open the door for any reason and would walk outside and leave it open lol.
