  • ... Well what should I do now?

Well I ordered some Gears, Install kits and a set of Alloys for my 8.25 a few weeks ago, got the gears and install kits like 2 weeks ago and was supposed to get my alloys today.

Well I open the box and instead of shafts I got a whole other set of gears and install kits.

    Should I:

A: Sell the gears and install kits, Buy alloys again, come out ~150 dollars ahead.

B: Tell Rusty's in a few days I still haven't gotten my alloys and have them send them to me and then also sell the gears.

C: Be honest and tell them what really happened. (Honestly not leaning toward this one, if Rusty's fucks up, it's their loss.)

Either way I still kinda wish I actually got what I ordered since I'll have to take a bunch of shit apart again to install the shafts when I actually get them.

Why did you order all that stuff from rustys any way?

The gears you got from Rusty's aren't hardened at all. They were made from mild steel and never heat treated. Have fun when you gears heat up and turn to play dough.

Much like unhardened ring gears at high speeds.

They are Motive Gears, which is supposed to be a decent company. And the Alloys were made by Superior, none of this was Rusty's brand,

And Rusty's had them for less money than everyone else.

I'm gonna sell them for 400 Shipped anywhere in the U.S.

350 if you pick them up from my house.

And yeah thats what I decided to do, I figured I'm not gonna get them to send me the alloys since they will probably realize that they sent me the wrong stuff if I complain so I'm just gonna sell them.

I dont know if i'm gonna bother even buying the alloys now anyways, prolly wont need them.

Basically it works out as me getting a free set of gears once the new ones are sold.

me and half of the other members on here have wanted to blow up / burn down rusty's at one point or another. I think I speak for all of us when I say they can get fucked.

I always had good luck from Rusty's but you probably won't need the alloys anyway, especially if you stay on the 32's. I still have yet to see anyone break a stock shaft on 33-35's
