  • WJ Oil Pressure Drop at Idle

My WJ started doing this today, kinda unnerving but a quick search reveals this is usually just the sending unit.

Anyone replaced this? I just wanna be sure it's not actually no pressure and I'm gonna grenade my beautiful HO

I put a trans in my cousins' WJ over the winter, the thing showed wicked low oil pressure all the time, and nothing at idle. I think the check gauges light even would come on. It ended up just being the sensor. Its been running perfectly for months since. I rode in it the other day and it was still reading normal pressure and hasn't blown up.

Mine did that once and never did it again. Probably a sensor

My XJ did that and my TJ does it now. I'm assuming it may just be the sensor.

97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.
